Verse 16
सुरासुरशिरोरत्ननिघृष्टचरणेऽम्बिके ।
रूपं देहि जयं देहि यशो देहि द्विषो जहि ॥१६॥
- सुर-असुर-शिरस्-रत्न-निघृष्ट-चरणे = oh god-demon-head-jewel-rubbed-"having feet (vocative singular of चरणा)" => oh goddess with feet where heads, adorned with jewels, of gods and demons are rubbed/subdued
- अम्बिके = Oh Goddess Ambika
- रूपं देहि जयं देहि यशो देहि द्विषो जहि = Please Grant me (Spiritual) Victory, Please Grant me (Spiritual) Glory and Please Destroy my (Inner) Enemies.
Salutations to Devi Ambika, To Whose Feet the Devas Rub (i.e. Touch) their Heads adorned with Jewels out of Devotion, and To Whose Feet the Heads of the mighty Asuras adorned with Jewels get Subdued.
O Devi, Please Grant me (Spiritual) Beauty, Please Grant me (Spiritual) Victory, Please Grant me (Spiritual) Glory and Please Destroy my (Inner) Enemies.
